Police Scotland statement on Langbank Fire
As some of you will be aware there was a serious fire at a family home in Dennistoun Road, Langbank on 22/01/17.
As you would expect there is now a significant police investigation underway to establish the motive behind the targeting of this particular premises and as such there will be an increase in both detective and uniform resources day and night.
Thankfully no one was injured, however there is extensive damage and our priority, while supporting the family, is to identify the perpetrator.
I know Langbank has a very active community council, neighbourhood watch and social media outlet, so it would be helpful if you could communicate to the community that Police Scotland are seeking any information they may have on this fire. If they have seen anything suspicious on the 22/01/17, or indeed at any time in and around this location, we would welcome that information. While officers will be going round doors speaking to residents, community members should be encouraged to call 101, or crime stoppers with any information, regardless of how insignificant they think it may be.
Thank you for your support and I am happy to speak to you direct if required.
