Dennistoun Road house fire

Firefighters battled to put out a house fire in Langbank last night.

Around 20 calls were made to the emergency services to alert them to the blaze in Dennistoun Road. Four fire engines from Port Glasgow and Clydebank rushed to the scene at 10.40pm.They used a main reel jet to put out the fire and the Port Glasgow crew remained on the scene this morning.

A Scottish Fire spokeswoman confirmed that there were no casualties.
