Billy's bench

Following the demolition of the old village shop our village bench has been moved to a new position on Main Road just beside the entrance to the train station. Situated only a number of footsteps away from the postbox's new location, the bench serves as a memorial for our formal village postman, Billy Purdue.  The bench was recently cleaned and restored by villager Marie Quinn.
